Christchurch Yachting is a RYA sailing school, and yacht charter operator based in Christchurch Harbour in Dorset on the south coast of England, located between the Solent and Poole harbour.

And lots of people DO come back! - we dont advertise as most of our customers are repeat bookings or word of mouth.

Sailing courses for 2009
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced sailor, we have a sailing course to suit you.
We limit the number of students to 4 on our RYA sailing courses which gives more instruction time per student, so for example if you are a Day Skipper you will have more time to practice skippering, and more personla instruction from the instructor.
We are an RYA Recognised Training Centre and offer the following sail cruising courses:
  • RYA Day Skipper*
  • RYA Coastal Skipper / Yachtmaster*
  • VHF radio operator courses for GMDSS Short Range Certificate (SRC)
  • CEVNI (inland waterways certificate)
  • RYA Diesel engine maintenance course
  • RYA First Aid.
  • *Available as a classroom course based at Christchurch or as a correspondence course.

Yacht charter
We have yachts from 32ft to 40ft based inside The Solent at Lymington, or just outside The Solent at Poole and Christchurch.
  • Bareboat yacht charter: qualified sailors can charter yachts without our skipper.
  • Skippered yacht charter: charter the yacht with our skipper.
  • Skippered cruises - half-day taster sails, day cruises, Cowes Week spectating, cross-channel cruises.
